(bio is not complete)   Jazz Reddington is a Cattassan of tigerish markings, obviously of regal standing from his dress and bearing, though something deep in his emerald-hued eyes tells that he's no pampered noble. He wears a dark Blue tunic beneath a black velvet vest, trousers of a dark greenand a pair of Simple boots. A sword of unidentifiable nature is at his side, sheathed in a conservatively yet expensively jeweled scabbard. Jazz looks to be in his later 20's, though at times he seems far older, lines of pain and tribulation visible beneath his fur. Jazz's origin is quite similar to Softpaw's; both are native-born Cattassans, both grew up for the most part at Ver-de-Ver, and both have been Knighted. However, Jazz isn't part of the royal family, instead being a lesser noble, being the eldest son of a Duke of a southern region of Cattassa. His father was a frequent traveller to the Capital, being a good friend of the King, and so Jazz spent much time in Ver-de-Ver as a result. He and his younger brother, Sammy, both became 'god-children' of the King, staying with the rest of his children whenever the Duke had business away from their home and Ver-de-Ver. During these stays they befriended most of the other children, though an especially strong bond was formed between Jazz and Softpaw, a girl of his approximate same age. As Jazz became old enough for serious schooling, he began to live in Ver-de-Ver full-time, training with the Royal tutors, and eventually becoming a Knight of Cattassa. This also meant that he was able to spend a significantly greater amount of time around Softpaw, and the two were near to inseperable. However, this did not proceed to a favorable end, as war with Canineum broke out, and Jazz 19 and  a Knight by that time, went to fight. The next time after that that he set eyes upon Ver-de-Ver was eight years in the future, as he was captured in battle, and sent to rot in a prison. He only managed to escape with the aid of his fellows, as well as some of his captors who were sympathizers with them. Jazz was in terrible shape when he finally managed to be found by a Cattassan patrol; despite the King's healers' best efforts, he still has wounds that can only be healed with time, not including the harm done to his psyche. His recovery in Ver-de-Ver coincided with the formal announcement of divorce by Softpaw with regards to her unfaithful ex-husband. He followed her to the inn she had ownership of...though due to a spell cast upon her, she didn't remember him, as she had been literally killing herself over his assumed death. It took time and no small bit of luck to dispell the memory block, though when it did occur, it was a time of rejoicing and reunion for them both.
