Dean: Ra`el

The Agricultural Department is a large, squat building made of stone. The flat-top roof holds a huge garden made up of various plants that are able to survive in Rosepeak's climate. Indoors, the classrooms have wood paneling on the walls and either wood or flagstone for floors. There is an enormous enclosed garden in the middle of the building that is kept at a constant comfortable warmth during an artificial 14-hour day and a comfortable cool during an artificial 10-day night. In here are all sorts of plants and trees from all over the world which are capable of living in a one-season climate. This is one of the places where flowers can be found blooming year-round.
The inner classrooms are full of windows set to view the central garden, and the outer classrooms are full of windows set to view outside the building. The hallways are lit by lamplight where necessary.
Because of the multitude of large windows, neither classrooms nor garden area have full privacy, as some embarrassed young-students-in-love have discovered. The only area that has a measure of privacy is the Dean's office. The inner window is partially blocked by trees and pond.
In the map, the stairways lead up to the roof garden and down to the basement. The basement is one enormous room filled with aquariums housing underwater plants and darkened areas for the cultivating of fungi and other plantlife which has a very low light requirement. Somewhere in the corners of the basement you might find black holes in the walls that lead down an elaborate system of tunnels...
