Glitterstars are a race of colorful fairy winged felines. They have the ability to shift between a small cat form and an anthropomorphic form.

Origins

Originally from a planet in another solar system called the Glitterstar, they came to Chaconne when their world "went boom" for a still unknown reason. They where portaled off by both their Goddess The Shining Lady and by Ashlocke Ain and his father Turlock Ain

Those portaled off by The Shining lady ended up on Chaconne at various points in time, some way in the past, some the present, some have yet to show up. Those portaled off by the Ain's ended up on an island on the world of Nosgoth.

Traits

As the Glitterstar was an utopia planet Glitterstars are known for being innocent and carefree. Not understanding many concepts like evil or anything bad. They are a very playful, childlike and happy go lucky race.

This combined with their short stature in Anthro form, as none are over five foot tall, gets them mistaken for children often by those that don't look at them close enough.

Female Glitterstars magicaly recive a small antennae like tiara shortly after birth.

Powers

All Glitterstars after birth have a necklace magically appear on them. This necklace holds a charm that represents the special power they have. Such as a sun represents sun powers or a shell ocean powers. Some Glitterstars come in "power sets" that tend to stick with in a family or town. Such as all the Glitterstars coming from Jeweletown can create a certain stone or metal, as well as having powers commonly associated with that stone.

Clothing in their Anthro form magically shifts away when they go into kitty form. However their jewelry merely changes size to better fit the smaller form.

Glitter

Glitterstars also all produce a magic glitter. Which they can make stick to anything they want, such as the entire surface of the inside of the inn. It's a natural byproduct and they shed it like fur at times. It is a naturally multi colored metal and in Rosepeak Jara buys it from them to create exquisite and sought after works of fine jewelry.

Glittermates

The glitter is also used in their marriage ritual. When a Glitterstar falls in love they become Glittermates with their loved one. This is marked by them placing glitter on the other one, which will not ever fall off unless one or the other falls out of love.

Glitterstars are mated to many others that are not Glitterstars themselves. After a while with a none Glitterstar, the Glitterstar will start to take on some of the intelligence that their mate has. Or if their mate is not so smart they will revert to that level.

Glitterstars are fiercely devoted to their mates. They enjoy spending as much time as possible with them.

Playtime

The group of Glitterstars in Rosepeak, as well as their Glittermates and various other friends have a daily "playtime" in a large field just outside of the town.

At playtime they enjoy various games, a favorite being chase. Many times the Swaro and the Mischief Fairies join and they have an impromptu parade about the town.

Anyone is welcome to join in playtime even if they have no real ties to the Glitterstars. They are known for inviting anyone they think needs or wants to come.

Many of the Glitterstars are mated to none Glitterstars, some of which are skilled warriors or have other powers and abilities. They keep playtime a totally trouble free event. Anyone that would dare try to harm the Glitterstars or cause a ruckus at playtime would find themselves in a world of trouble and pain.

Protectors

Since the Glitterstars are an extremely naturally naive and innocent race many have taken it upon themselves to watch over and protect them. Most notably is the Ain family. As Ashlocke is Glittermated to Bellaluna. At one point Ashlocke had unseen golems following the known Glitterstars around as a hunter had cropped up after their fur. This hunter was taken out by Auto when he attacked Solana.

Also among the well known protectors are the sorta twins Breagan and Francis, Felicity and Sabrina’s Glittermates. There are many others as well, most of them mated to one of the Glitterstars.

Some protectors are not mated to a Glitterstar but close friends with them. Most notable among those is Autolycus Hoshihara, a zombie tigerman.

Shining Moon

There is a "brother planet" to the Glitterstar that is known as Shiningmoon and was home of the Shiningmoon Dogs. When the Glitterstar exploded it knocked the planet off course and farther from the sun. The resulting cold has sent the Shiningmoon dogs in search of other homes. Some have shown up in Rosepeak.
